Eligibility
Only schools participating in the NCAA Group Basic Accident Medical Program (“Program”)
are eligible to purchase this coverage.
Plan Options
Option A: Zero deductible with $5,000 accident medical maximum
Option B: Zero deductible with $7,500 accident medical maximum
Option C: Zero deductible with $10,000 accident medical maximum
Policy Structure
- Provides primary coverage while participating in covered athletic events only.
- The policy will provide mandatory coverage for all uninsured intercollegiate student
athletes, student coaches, student managers, student trainers, and student cheerleaders at schools
who elect to purchase it.
- Schools who elect to purchase this coverage must choose Option A or Option B for
all of their uninsured intercollegiate student athletes, student coaches, student managers,
student trainers, and student cheerleaders.
- The school must provide a roster of all of their uninsured intercollegiate student
athletes, student coaches, student managers, student trainers, and student cheerleaders at the
time of purchase.
Premium
- The premium for Option A is $485 per uninsured student-athlete per policy year.
- The premium for Option B is $635 per uninsured student-athlete per policy year.
- The premium for Option C is $770 per uninsured student-athlete per policy year.
- All of the premium is due at the effective date of coverage.
